    JOB DESCRIPTION
    CONEJO VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

    POSITION: Summer School Middle School English or Math Teacher

    REPORTS TO: Summer School Principal

    CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENT: A Valid CTC Single or Multiple Subject Credential

    SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION PLEASE NOTE :
    • Summer School for CVUSD is contracted with Antelope Valley Learning Academy who will be responsible for weekly learning logs, professional development, and Payroll.
    • Summer School Teachers must complete all roles and responsibilites that have been designated by Antelope Valley Learning Academy.
    • Teachers will be compensated 19 total days - 18 days of instruction and 1 preparation day in addition to 3 hours of on-boarding with Antelope Valley Learning Academy.
    • English teachers will be compensated for an additional professional development day for curriculum training (20 total days).

    SUMMER SCHOOL TEACHING SCHEDULE:
    • Summer Program will be taught in-person at Los Cerritos Middle School for dates are July 5-7, July 10-14, July 17-21, and July 24-28.
    • Teaching schedules include daily preparation time.
    • The teacher contract time is 8:00 A.M. - 11:10 A.M. for Math Boost 6CP to 7A. All other teacher contract times are 8:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.

    COURSES AVIALABLE:
    • Math Boost 6CP to 7A
    • Math Boost 7CP to 1CP
    • English

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    • If selected for a summer school assignment, teachers will attend a Faculty Meeting via ZOOM on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. A meeting invite will be sent once teachers have been assigned.
