Parenting Time, Inc. is a small nonprofit organization. Our agency services onsite supervised visits and safe exchanges, mostly ordered and referred by El Dorado County's Family Law Division.

We prefer applicants to live locally (near the Western Slope of El Dorado County). Coverage is needed primarily on weekday evenings and weekends. Position will be VERY part-time (expect 0-15 hours/week). May be future opportunities for increased hours, as business ebbs and flows as orders roll in from the court. Great for students, retirees, or others with a flexible schedule. Position offered at $17/hour.

Position may require a 3-day in-person training with the Judicial Council & CASVSP, as well as fingerprinting and background checks (all costs covered by Parenting Time, Inc.). A working interview will also be included in our screening process.

Job Expectations

• Ensure safety and welfare of child and all other involved parties
• Observe all child-parent interaction, while transcribing visual and audible observations in factual terms
• Think analytically while remaining neutral and objective at all times
• Keep child's best interest at the forefront of all decision-making
• Be able to quickly asses and manage possible risk
• Ability to work well with computers, text messaging systems and Microsoft Office Programs
• Proficiency with report writing, spelling and grammar
• Light cleaning and organizational duties
• Reliability and long-term commitment
• Punctuality is extremely important in this line of work
• Maintain a professional demeanor with all clients
• Some customer service skills
• Ability to manage sensitive and potentially triggering topics and information
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Proof of experience or coursework in Child Development
• Clean background check
• No record of conviction for driving under the influence within the last 5 years
• Not have been on probation or parole for the last 10 years
• No record of a conviction for child molestation, child abuse, or other crimes against a person
• No civil, criminal, or juvenile restraining orders within the last 10 years
• Cannot have been ordered supervised visitation at any time, past or current
