Supervised Visitation Staff
Job description
Our Supported Family Time program provides supervised visitation services that may include observation, safe exchange, video visits, parent coaching and transportation. The work of a Supported Family Time staff is to monitor interactions during visits, objectively report out, follow policies and procedures, and create a safe environment for families to spend time together.
Hours
- Flexible hours
- Looking for part-time to full-time employee
- Looking for staff interested in transportation services
- Visits happen 7 days a week, whenever works for all parties, including evenings and weekends
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five years’ experience dealing with youth issues such as physical and sexual abuse, neglect, chemical dependency.
OR An Associate’s degree in social work, psychology or a similar field and a minimum of two years’ experience.
OR
- A Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or a similar field and six months of experience is preferred.
- A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and a Motor Vehicle Check.
- Successfully meet the requirements of a background check.
- Communication, crisis intervention, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of child protection issues.
- Training or employment experience in physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, chemical dependency, mandated reporting and parenting skills are desired. Training/experience may have been obtained in a volunteer setting, school field placement or through own parenting experiences.
