What You Will Do:
The Supervising Certified Medical Assistant provides leadership and is responsible for training all Certified Medical Assistants and Medical Assistants while performing the duties of a Certified Medical Assistant.
Primary location would be Voorhees. This position requires candidate to travel to all six (6) of our offices which includes; Sewell, Moorestown, Hamilton, Wall, and Galloway, NJ offices as needed.
Supervising Functions:
- Monitors CMAs and MAs compliance with required competencies.
- Assist with department schedule and ensure locations are adequately staffed according to patient volume.
- Assists in the development of policies and procedures for CMAs and MAs.
- Schedules check-in meetings with all CMAs and MAs regularly.
- Oversees medical supply ordering for all locations.
- Oversees injectable inventory via inventory tracking software.
- Enforces accountability of all CMAs and MAs in adequately stocking exam rooms.
- Administer department new hire and ongoing training.
- Oversee and request portal access for all staff.
- Provide feedback to assist department head with performance evaluations.
- Communicates with Department Head about general observations and concerns.
Medical Assistant Functions:
- Accurately enters New Patient Packet information into Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Retrieve all imaging and lab results for upcoming patients 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time.
- Documents clinical data in the EMR as directed by and in collaboration with the treating provider.
- Responds to physician’s requests for patient-related services such as test results, imaging, consults referrals, etc. in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with roles and responsibilities of front desk staff.
- Collects vital signs, records results in medical records and rooms patients.
- Prepares exam and treatment rooms keeping rooms neat, clean and fully stocked.
- Actively maintains injectable inventory. Queues patients to proper inventory system and dispenses to providers as appropriate.
- May prepare or assist with minor office procedures including but not limited to assessments, exam procedures, laboratory procedures, phlebotomy, administration of approved medications and vaccines, other duties determined by local need and scope of practice.
- Accesses all portal to import information into patient charts.
What You’ll Have:
- Valid Medical Assistant Certification required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates Degree or vocational education preferred.
- Leadership experience and skill in delegating and overseeing peers.
