Job Summary and Qualifications
- Maintains satisfactory financial condition & operating results in the Dietary department.
- Provides quality services to hospital patients, staff & guests.
- Responsible for supervision of all food preparation, food service, sanitation of the kitchen, purchasing food & supplies.
- Responsible for performance improvement; distribution of menus to patients, & patient assessments.
- Responsible for clear definition of responsibilities within the dietary department and the management of personnel in an effective & productive manner.
- Prepare & perform employee evaluations.
- Review special instructions for menus & employees.
- Maintain safe working conditions in all aspects of the Dietary Department.
- Maintain internal communications & communicates with administration.
- Maintains good public & good physician relations.
- This position will also be responsible for the role as primary facility Clinical Dietitian- will plan, project, organize, actuate, monitor and evaluate patients nutritional care program for the Dietary Department.
What qualifications you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or food systems management preferred.- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
- Missouri Licensed Dietitian.
- Knowledge and skills in purchasing, receiving, sanitation regulations. Institutional food preparation, therapeutic diets, Joint Commission requirements, MO state regulation, OSHA requirements.
- Self-directed, self-motivated, & works independently.
- Must be able to give precise directions & render the highest quality of patient care obtainable.
- Registered Food Service Manager (RFSM)
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
