Job description
The Supply Chain Manager analyzes and takes any steps necessary to improve the overall productivity of the supply chain for the Nash Distribution business. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for purchasing and managing multiple warehouses. Specific responsibilities include:
- Facilitating the Company’s Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process
- Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and freight companies, monitoring andassessing their performance and maintaining cost-effective practices
- Implementing logistic strategies, tracking goods from the origination point to the warehouses
- Analyzing the supply chain data and solving any issues or putting alternative plans in place
- Optimizing the Company’s supply chain network
- Identifying and minimizing risk by predicting the demand for products and adopting new technology with no interruption to the process
- Implementing enhancements within the Company’s ERP system to improve efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain processes
- Managing inventory, packing and distributing for multiple warehouses
- Following up after accidents and injuries in the warehouses
- Developing safety guidelines, teaching and enforcing the protocols
- Supervising and training employees
- Reviewing and updating supply chain practices in line with company policies, standards, laws and regulations
Supply Chain Manager skills and qualifications
A successful Supply Chain Manager candidate will have various skills and qualifications to perform their duties effectively, these include:

Supply Chain Manager experience requirements
The Supply Chain Manager should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field. The candidate should have least 3 years of experience in supply chain management and 5 or more years of experience in a distribution or manufacturing role.
