SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing freight, supplier management and conducting successful price negotiations for food and non-food items. Employs industry standard systems analysis techniques to manage supply chain processes. Stays current on products, pricing and market trends in the restaurant industry as a whole.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  Coordinate logistics of Taco Cabana managed freight
• Ensure end-to-end customer service of inbound loads to warehouse as well as outbound deliveries to restaurants
• Research and uncover other freight opportunities
• Review all new LTO (limited time offers) projects for best logistical solution
• Report out on monthly basis how managed freight is performing
• Create and maintain pricing notification database
• Upload pricing correctly to Crunch Time and distributor
• Discover and manage any and all costing discrepancies work to recover over payments
• Work collaboratively with distributor and Crunch Time to ensure credits are captured
• Participate on daily calls with distributor
• Manage adequate inventory levels with distributor
• Communicate out of stocks or subs with operations
• Ensure LTOs are communicated and executed
• Ensure operational tests are communicated and executed
• Work collaboratively with supplier partners to ensure inventory levels are held and production is forecasted properly
• Maintain strong working relationship with all supplier partners
• Work collaboratively with operations on service level improvements
• Work collaboratively with product development on sourcing initiatives

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• 
  Bachelors degree in Business or Supply Chain Management (preferred)
• A minimum of three years experience supply chain and contract management
• Prior experience managing expectations from department heads executing contract expectations
• Excellent computer, math and writing skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• 
  Proficient in English - bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Must have good written and oral communication skills
• Must have good customer service skills
• Must be able to perceive and react to the needs of others
