Overview:
SUPPLY OPERATIONS MANAGER: 2023-18424

Bowhead seeks a Supply Operations Manager to support their Eagle contract in Aberdeen, MD. The Supply Operations Manager shall oversee a supplemental labor force providing support to the Central Issue Facility (CIF) and/or the Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP) with responsibility for all personnel providing services at those locations on Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG) Army Installation. The Supply Operations Manager will analyze, develop, evaluate and promote improvements in supply programs using best industry practices. The Supply Operations Manager is responsible for all supply and service operations, including ammunition services, under this effort and must have at least 10 years of supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures. The Supply Operations Manager must have a comprehensive knowledge of the installation’s supply, services and equipment management processes, related regulations and is required to ensure effective accountability of all assigned property.
Responsibilities:
Essential functions will include:

• Providing oversight and guidance for the CIF, the CIPBO, Retail Supply, and the ASP departments • Planning and directing personnel and required resources for day to day mission support
  • Coordinating the movement of serviceable and unserviceable excess for turn-in
  • Providing oversight to functional areas of the warehouse that include stock control, receiving, issue, turn-in, shipping, storage, and material management center, serialization of sensitive and nonexpendable equipment
  • Must participate and run any inventories required either by the government or Bowhead processes.

Qualified candidates must possess:
  • The ability to establish program objectives in individual’s specific arena and assess/report progress
  • Ability to gain cooperation in order to coordinate the work of others or as a team player in cohesive team environment
  • Flexibility and capability to adjust work to operational needs and to meet emergency or changing program and/or production requirements
  • Ability to analyze organizational and operational problems and develop or recommend timely and economical solutions
  • Must have thorough knowledge of analytical techniques and causative research skills to identify areas of needed emphasis to recommend improvements
Qualifications:
In accordance with Executive Order 14042: Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors, candidates should be aware that they may be required to have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire.

  • An Associate's degree is required at a minimum however, a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, in addition to at least ten (10+) years of documented supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures and instructions in supply management
  • Must possess operational skills and knowledge of the automated supply systems utilized
  • Must possess the knowledge, experience and understanding of US Army logistics
  • Must have prior experience with financial management and knowledge of Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) to include Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) and Unit Status Report (USR)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts using excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level, however candidates who currently hold an active Secret clearance are highly encouraged to apply. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
