MAO Leawood Surgery Center is an outpatient surgery center and we are actively looking for a Surgical Tech/Materials Manager with experience to join us in our pursuit of excellence. Our Leawood ambulatory surgery has 2 Operating Rooms and 1 Procedure Room specializing in outpatient Orthopedics, Plastics, and Podiatry.

Education/Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent

Current BLS Certification (required after employment, if not currently certified)

Experience:·

• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Tech and Materials Management experience in an ASC or hospital

Responsibilities include:

• Review physician preference cards and order all necessary equipment, instrumentation, and supplies needed for the opening of the center
• Responsible for ongoing purchase orders and maintaining adequate inventory of supplies for scheduled surgical cases
• Receive and distribute supplies to appropriate locations throughout the center
• Establish and maintain inventory PAR levels
• Responsible for inventory and asset management
• Maintains files and adheres to a systematic approach to monitor back-orders and recalls
• Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors
• Negotiate with vendors to ensure best pricing
• Ongoing communication with staff and surgeons to identify supply savings opportunities
• Ability to hold dual roles with Surgical Tech and Materials Manager
• Promotes a positive work environment
• Demonstrates initiative, insight, and judgment in all decision-making processes
• Participates in the planning of and adherence to a clinical budget
• Ensures operational productivity and workflow efficiency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.64 - $32.50 per hour
