General Summary

We are seeking a dedicated System Administrator which will be tasked with monitoring and maintaining the organization's computer systems and networks. This position will be responsible for diagnosing any hardware/software issues or faults with systems and will solve issues either in person or over the phone. This role is ideal for fast-paced, detail driven, eager to learn IT professionals with a focus on great customer service. Success in this position requires solid technical depth with Windows desktops and server technologies.

Essential Functions

  • Network and systems administration within the organization to include design, installation, configuration, and support of the enterprise systems hardware/software including new and existing servers, cloud-based systems, storage systems, databases, and other enterprise systems.
  • Provide technical assistance and advice when needed in troubleshooting enterprise and SaaS systems performance problems.
  • Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot organization networks and network devices that include wireless APs, switches, routers, and security appliances.
  • Troubleshoot potentially complex hardware and software problems and take appropriate corrective action and/or work with internal and external teams in performing dynamic testing, support and troubleshooting functions with limited supervision.
  • Monitor, maintain and update enterprise systems infrastructure including verifying integrity of data systems, reviewing logs/events, ensuring automated processes completed successfully.
  • System and device management using systems including but not limited to Intune, SCCM, and WSUS.
  • Forecast demands and recommend upgrades, expansions, or reconfigurations.
  • Administer the organizations Azure, Exchange, and Microsoft 365 Tenant.
  • Research and recommend innovative approaches to simplify and/or automate new and existing processes/tasks. Research and train on new techniques and developments in server/cloud technologies.
  • Provide on-call support and weekend maintenance duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and communicate complex and technical ideas and issues clearly to a non-technical user.
  • Ability to work well in a high-pressure environment, set and change priorities quickly, and maintains an orderly project completion process.
  • Experience with Windows systems administration, including management of Active Directory, SCCM, and Azure.
  • Experience working with network devices, such as routers, switches, and wireless access points and have a solid understanding of TCP/IP network fundamentals.
  • Experience documenting existing and new processes.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Work requires reliable transportation as daily/weekly travel is necessary amongst branches.
  • Work requires ability to lift 50 pounds as moving equipment is routine; will require carrying, pushing and/or pulling of equipment and/or devices; the ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor?s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years? experience supporting complex networks and systems preferred.
