Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Interface and Service

• The Systems Engineer will be the third point of escalation (Tier 3/4) for support, following the Helpdesk Technician I, and Helpdesk II, respectively for technical support and triaging.

• Provide engineering assistance and support for escalated queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware from the Helpdesk team.

• Design and architect new network topologies, VLANs, and redundant failover connections

• Maintain technical documentation of all servers, network devices, and IP schemes, subnets, circuits. Maintain active list of outside vendors and contact information.

• Provide daily technical support during official hours of work under the 9AM-5PM time period, with occasional after-hours support, both remotely and on-site at all locations, as business needs require it.

• Recommend new security and infrastructure enhancements to existing organization

• Maintain existing infrastructure, across all locations within the organization, both on premise and cloud based.

• Ensure that staff IT requirements and priorities are accurately represented to management in order to resolve issues expeditiously. Ensure that all IT systems are available when required with any issues being robustly resolved (or escalated) in a timely manner.

Stakeholder Outreach and Recruitment

• Collaborate with outside consultants and provide security recommendations

• Collaborate with the AVP Technology on Disaster Recovery resiliency, planning, and execution of systems.

Tracking, Document, and Reporting

• Create proactive plans and measures to the infrastructure environment to ensure optimal health.

• Handle long term technical projects from the AVP Technology while maintaining daily tasks
