We are currently seeking a Systems Administration Advisor to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is Min: $77,900 - Max: $180,100. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.

We are currently seeking a Systems Administration Advisor to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage RedHat and Ubuntu Linux configurations using Puppet and containers, including CIS and STIG compliance for the OS and middleware
- Administer and troubleshoot Puppet and Satellite infrastructure
- Automate additional administration activities using scripting languages such as BASH or Python
- Manage and troubleshoot libvirt/QEMU virtualization, SAN storage, and VLAN-segmented IPv6 networking
- Monitor systems/logs/scripts using Zabbix and Splunk, promptly respond to operational issues, and proactively tune system configurations to avoid predictable outages
- Act as a technical resource for other staff members on challenging technical problems in troubleshooting and engineering
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant Linux system administration experience, to include:
- Minimum 2 years of experience developing/managing Linux configurations using tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
- Minimum 2 years of experience developing scripts in languages such as BASH, Perl, Python, or Ruby
- Minimum 1 year of experience developing Linux configurations that are compliant with industry and/or government security guidelines such as the CIS benchmarks or DISA STIGs
- Minimum 2 years of experience configuring/managing Satellite provisioning, or experience automating the building of new Linux systems using UEFI HTTP boot and kickstart scripts
- Minimum 2 years of experience building or administering enterprise Linux management and/or monitoring systems such as Satellite, Puppet Server, Splunk, or Zabbix
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing Linux VMs using QEMU/KVM or other virtualization technologies
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing and troubleshooting Linux networking, including VLANs and iptables/nftables
- Minimum 1 year of experience developing documentation for use by other members of a team, including both process documentation for junior team members, and design/administration documentation for senior team members
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as part of a large team, including participating in collaborative decision-making processes, effectively communicating with diverse team members and building consensus, and enthusiastically supporting/assisting other team members with their work
- US Citizenship and the ability to pass a Federal government clearance check are required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience administering both RedHat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu systems using shared configurations
- Experience administering Puppet, including managing a Puppet Server, managing deployments with r10k, and developing new Puppet Modules
- Experience using and administering Satellite, including managing custom repositories, managing Content Views, deploying system updates through Satellite, provisioning new systems and customizing the associated templates, and scripting Satellite functionality through the Satellite API
- Experience using Splunk as a power user, including building advanced reports/dashboards
- Experience using Zabbix or a similar monitoring tool, including developing custom monitors and alerts
- Experience managing Linux hypervisors and VMs using libvirt, QEMU, and multipath iSCSI in an enterprise environment
- Experience managing web servers (including Apache, NGINX, and Tomcat), managing database servers (including PostgreSQL and MySQL), and supporting a variety of web application stacks
- Experience using and administering container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience using Git, including familiarity with branching, merging, and merge conflict resolution
- Experience with IPv6 networking, and with network troubleshooting using tools such as tcpdump
- Strong understanding of system security principles and familiarity with CIS and STIG guidelines
- Experience working with RedHat support or other support services to resolve previously undiscovered bugs
- Experience contributing to open source projects
- Ability to work independently on challenging technical problems, including the ability to research and learn new technologies quickly, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to develop creative solutions to novel or unique problems
