SUMMARY

The Systems Administrator is responsible for installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of system hardware and software to ensure continued operation of the bank’s computer network. The Systems Administrator maintains the day to day operations of the systems area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configure, maintain, and ensure proper continued operation of the Active Directory network including; user setup and maintenance, security, and distribution groups.
  • Ensure the proper monitoring of network system and taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Ensure all critical data is being backed up.
  • Responsible for the physical backups, loading and unloading tapes, and tracking tapes.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Data Centers and VMWare environment.
  • Maintain and configure DHCP and DNS.
  • Responsible for printer purchases and setup.
  • Build and maintain physical and virtual servers.
  • Recommend hardware and software purchases.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Assist in IS Help Desk operation as the appropriate level of expertise is required.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory.
  • Provide after hour support to the end user.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and adheres to the BSA policy.
  • Perform additional tasks within the IT Department as requested.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
