Shield AI is seeking an IT Support Engineer who will ensure that the company remains a leader in the development of applied artificial intelligence. The IT support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining on premises IT systems and supporting end users at SAI offices in Alexandria and Rosslyn. Limited travel may be required to other SAI locations. In addition to maintaining IT systems, this position will help support our Azure presence as well as onsite simulator suite equipment that demonstrate Shield AI’s autonomous agent capabilities.
Our preference would be for this person to work on a hybrid basis out of our Arlington, VA office.
What you'll do:
- Support the Shield AI global network and systems at the local sites, including Active Directory, SAN/NAS storage and DNS
- Oversee additions/upgrades of equipment, hardware, and software solutions.
- Provide systems and network administration duties to support engineers and developers, including provisioning of laptops, desktops, servers and/or other physical infrastructure
- Support Kubernetes AI infrastructure that features Reinforcement Learning training workflows
- Support our modern workplace solutions (Microsoft 365)
- Support identities across the corporate infrastructure
- Support our enterprise network infrastructure
- Support our operational security compliance
Required qualifications:
- 2+ years of proven relevant experience
- Expertise with Linux
- Scripting experience (e.g., BASH, PowerShell, Python)
- Expertise with Windows 10 or 11, Exchange, Teams and SharePoint
- Engineering or similar degree, or equivalent practical experience

Salary Range: $79,950 -$125,050 Annually + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)
