You will work to develop and implement new solutions to address our evolving performance and efficiency requirements. You will engineer mission-focused IT programs that incorporate both existing infrastructure and new system technologies, and work with senior executives to find the best strategies to meet requirements. We rely on our systems engineering team to build the foundation for our success.

This position is required to sit onsite in our NYC office 5 days a week located at 1 WTC.

We are searching for somebody who

  • Is thoroughly familiar with Ubiquiti Unifi Dream Machine Pro/SE, Unifi Switches, and Unifi Access Points and has built network stacks of their own.
  • will take ownership of all on-site and office IT-related Operations
  • has excellent problem solving skills and is a quick learner.

  • Is a pro when it comes to macOS and Windows Operating systems and you don’t shy away from flavors of Linux when they come your way.
  • Is a natural at managing and maintaining SaaS tools like Okta, Duo Security, Jamf Pro, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Zoom, Slack, CrowdStrike Falcon, Armorblox, and Google Workspace.
  • Operates with security as a primary focus.
  • Is dependable and has a strong sense of ownership of their work and their team’s work.

Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Manager of Security and IT
  • Take full ownership of the IT hardware and operations in the 1 World Trade Center office as the senior individual responsible for on-site operations. Will be present in the office five days a week.
  • Fully owns the Unifi Network Stack in the office - Dream Machine SE/Pro, Unifi Switch Pro, 3x Unifi Access Points.
  • Support all AV meetings and events that require A/V support including international conference calls, projectors, presentations, and Zoom support.
  • Purchase, maintain, and log inventory of all IT Equipment stored within the 1WTC office
  • Manage, administer, and scale our endpoint patch management initiative with open-source software like Chocolatey, Homebrew, and AutoPkg.
  • Place priority on the employee experience by approaching the onboarding and offboarding processes with a white-glove mindset.
  • Independently own and drive multiple IT projects and deliverables for the team.
  • Manage and maintain enterprise deployments of Duo Security/Okta/Google Workspace.
  • Manage and support Apple, Windows, and Linux operating systems, MDM, and software.
  • Build and maintain Zoom Rooms and provide support for company-wide events.
  • Define and manage a full cycle patch and software distribution framework.
  • Manage, process, and solve requests that come through Slack, Atlassian Assist, and Jira Service Management ticketing system, adhering to SLA requirements for responses and resolution of tickets.
  • Coordinate ISP and 3rd party technician site visits.
  • Work as an escalation point for the IT and Security team
  • Help to grow and mentor the IT team.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working within a security framework (e.g., CIS CSC, ISO27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, etc.)
  • Ability to plan, drive, and support multiple, concurrent projects and initiatives
  • 7+ years in an IT Engineering or IT Support role in an enterprise environment
  • 5+ years experience working with endpoint management in large device environments with open source tools or enterprise MDM systems
  • Expert level PC and macOS administration fundamentals, including MDM protocol, configuration profile management, system extensions, installer and package creation, built in security tooling
  • Extensive Windows administration expertise, with AzureAD, Intune, and/or Microsoft Endpoint Manager Experience
  • Experience managing Okta SSO and Duo Security MFA and Health Checks
  • Comfortable scripting in at least one language (e.g. Shell scripting (bash), Python, Swift)
  • Experience managing a corporate network including the configuration of VPN, DNS, DHCP, Routing, VLANs, on networks like Cisco Meraki or Ubiquiti UnifiOS.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service
  • Experience communicating with vendors to manage expectations and relationships
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation that includes after hours and weekend support

Base Salary

The base salary range is between $85,000-$95,000 annually.

Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location and current market data and may vary from the range above.
