The role of the System Specialist is to support reporting-based technology solutions to ensure such solutions meet business goals and requirements for the firm. The System Specialist will operate, maintain, and update both the reporting & data components within Moneta’s reporting system; work with advisor teams to update and enhance reports for clients; help to enhance firm centralization efforts; coordinate and communicate with system end users; and provide support to the Business Systems Team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- System Support: Serves as subject matter expert in collaboration with department stakeholders, with regard to the communication and training of users for new systems as well as any upgrades/enhancements to existing systems
- Provide assistance in process and workflow improvement within the reporting system for both front-end and back-end users.
- Issues Management and Resolution: Utilize tools (e.g., JIRA, Manage Engine Help Desk) to accept, track, remediate, and measure user issues as they occur.
- Vendor Management: Functions as liaison with system vendors, maintaining standard processes to support ongoing communication with regards to system upgrades, changes, issue resolution; coordinates communication and roll out across affected users
- Process Analysis and Integration: Understand business goals, team responsibilities, and processes to successfully test reporting technology enhancements and integrate technology into work flow.
- Shared Accountability: Accountable for supporting success of both individuals on team and team as a whole
- Open Communication and Collaboration: Foster an environment of open, honest, and timely communication
- “Live” the vision and values. Ensure the vision and core values of Moneta Group are incorporated into the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Technical Training. Deliver training on new systems as needed.
- B.S. Business, Finance, or related field preferred
- One years or more of experience in related field
- If applicable, experience with financial reporting software such as Orion, Black Diamond, Tamarac, etc.
- Proven experience managing IT-based projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Technical proficiency with a variety of software applications
- Work experience that demonstrates strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to interact well with all employees
- Commitment to ‘Raving Fan’ service
- Professional attitude, demeanor, and appearance
