Tableau Developer Summary:

We are looking for candidates with expertise in data cleansing, blending, analysis, and reporting. Their duties include collaborating with other data professionals to extract data, create Tableau reports/visualizations and dashboards based on their findings, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to determine business initiatives’ success.

The responsibilities of the tableau developer include creating technical solutions, creating data storage tools, and conducting tests. This will include helping non-technical employees interpret data and designing visualizations.

To be successful as a Tableau Developer, you should have a broad understanding of the business technology landscape, the ability to design reports, and dashboards.

Location: Greater Dallas-Fort Worth Area

Salaried Position: Yes

Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000 annually

Travel: Minimal (10% or less), based on current project requirements as needed

Tableau Developer Responsibilities:

· Developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions.

· Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.

· Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.

· Creating tools to store data within the organization.

· Liaising between the IT department, PMO, executive team, and other key internal stakeholders

· Analyzing data from disparate data sources

· Analyzing data to inform business decisions

Tableau Developer Requirements:

· Degree in computer engineering, business administration, or STEM related field

· 5+ years in a data heavy analytical role.

· Hands on experience with Tableau Desktop is required (dashboard creation, report authoring, troubleshooting, data source management). Experience with Tableau Online is a bonus.

· Extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of Tableau administration and architecture.

· Create interactive filters, parameters, calculations for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau.

· Build and publish interactive dashboards on Tableau Online. Collaborate with stakeholders to test, clean, and standardized data to meet the business requirements.

· A solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data models. Proficient with SQL queries and reporting analysis tools. Able to create and edit SQL queries within Tableau to build calculated fields.

· Advanced Competency in Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.)

· Advanced Competency in PowerPoint.

· Hands on Experience with ETL Tools such as SSIS or Talend is not required, but a desire and willingness to learn is a bonus.
