Job description
The Talent Acquisition Leader will be crucial in enabling the organization’s growth. The main goal of the TA Leader is source and hire the industry’s best talent. The duties and responsibilities include overseeing all hiring activities, including talent acquisition execution, and supporting program aspects of TA, including: employer brand, DE&I programs, ATS implementation and management, etc. The TA Leader proactively manages the progress of all requisitions and moves them forward to effective closure in a way that creates a positive candidate experience and a high degree of customer service to hiring managers.
Responsibilities
TA Execution:
- Proactively source, screen and hire qualified talent in a timely manner and with a high degree of professionalism and customer focus. Collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Oversee all stages of company hiring process from requisition approval through offer acceptance. Ensure positive customer experiences (including hiring managers and candidates).
- Track progress of all hiring activities and regularly report all necessary metrics including KPIs for diversity, quality of hire, etc.
- Demonstrate leadership at all times, acting as internal point of escalation and support contact for contract recruiters and sourcers. Steer outcomes with managers, and support interview scheduling for optimal outcomes.
- Manage the Talent Acquisition function in a way that optimizes results, continuously improves efficiency, and keeps the company compliant with all laws.
TA Programs:
- Proactively build new programs to support the employer brand and increase early talent pipeline activities
- Develop DE&I recruiting efforts to drive inclusive talent pools that reflect the communities where Talent Alchemist is based
- Manage all TA program vendors including job boards, staffing and placement agencies. Negotiate vendor rates and contracts and monitor compliance to those agreements.
- Positively influence leaders to be better ambassadors and advocates of the company through DE&I efforts, effective interviewing techniques, etc.
- Work with Marketing to ensure external brand is managed well.
- Proactively sell candidates on the value proposition of working at Talent Alchemist.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years recruiting experience in a corporate environment required; with at least 1-2+ years’ experience with sourcing for technical roles required (software development, mechanical / electrical engineers, etc).
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written communications) to build and maintain relationships are required.
- Computer skills required including G-Suite and/or MS Office tools, Boolean search terms, social media, and applicant tracking systems required.
- Service orientation, professional demeanor, social perceptiveness and ability to work with people at all management and executive levels required.
- Complex problem solving and using good judgement for when to escalate.
- Willingness and ability to be available and operate independently with excellent time management and prioritization required.
Location
This position can be local to the San Francisco Bay Area or remote (USA). Remote candidates may be asked to come to the bay area 2-4 times per year and will generally be expected to work west coast hours.
