Tax Supervisor, NYC (Hybrid)

£140,000 - $150,000

There’s often an expectation when you make a shift from the Top 10 into a large, regional firm that you’ll have to work with systems that aren’t as sophisticated. In other words, it’s just going to take you longer to do stuff. Well, this certainly isn’t the case with this fantastic regional firm with a large office in NYC.

I had a meeting with them recently and we got chatting about the types of individuals they’ve hired recently and how they’re setting in. They’ve hired a number of people, out of the Audit & Tax service lines, in the Top 10 firms. They’ve all been hugely impressed with the sophistication of the systems and processes.

This, combined with the chance to continue to work with large and interesting clients, has made the transition super smooth.

Other differences are a healthier work-life balance (core hours of 10:30 to 3:30) and generous PTO. They do a great job of retaining their people which means they’re rarely understaffed at busy season, so you won’t need to be working silly hours. These guys also do a lot of pro bono work to support community programs.

We're helping them hire a Tax Supervisor. You'll be providing compliance and advisory services to a range of clients. You'll also be reviewing complex returns produced by others. The role would suit someone who is looking for a mixed compliance / advisory position, as well as the opportunity to mentor and develop others.
