Ameresco’s Federal Solutions Team seeks a Technical Editor to collaborate with engineering and construction teams to assist with energy engineering and renewable technology reports and documents. This position is based out of our Knoxville, TN office.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Federal engineering and construction teams to prepare and produce reports for grammar, clarity, and accuracy;
Gather project data and materials required to prepare summative reports and proposals;
Assist in preparing PowerPoint slide presentations;
Review, edit, and proofread project specifications provided by engineering and construction staff for structure, accuracy, consistency, content, graphic, format, style, and quality standards;
Develop and maintain technical documentation templates and project library; and
Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical writing work experience within a federal government contractor work environment.
Additional Qualifications:
2+ years of technical writing and editing work experience preferred.
Superior organizational, project, time management, and resource planning skills.
Excellent verbal, written, computer, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Advanced MS Office, Adobe computer proficiency; Excel, Access, PowerPoint preferred.
Strong database management skills.
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced work setting.
Prior energy, engineering, or commercial construction project experience preferred.
Flexibility to work extended hours, as needed.
