Position Technical sales

PKYS is a small but well-established business selling electrical equipment for mobile power users. We are operating in a quickly expanding market of Mobile Power and Power conversion for Vehicle, Marine and off grid applications. Market forces are allowing us to grow and add a new position, an attractive job for the right person. This is an excellent opportunity to get into this thriving and fast-expanding field of Mobile power. We are a small team and are looking for a team player so you will be called to do other jobs when needed

Work description Duties/Responsibilities

This position of a technical sales support person is to assist PKYS customers both Professional and DIY’s. The candidate will work with them to help them design an electrical power system to suit their needs. Help them understand the components and how they work together. Customer technical support will be through phone, email or Video chat.

The job is twofold; first to assist existing customers and to build on the existing customer base with new opportunities.

Qualifications & skills required.

We are looking for someone with an Electrical background and Basic electrical knowledge is a requirement. The rudimentary workings of an electrical system as it pertains to a power system from battery to AC and DC supply. Any or all of these skills will be helpful.

ABYC certification is a plus or NMEA certification.

Previous experience working with tools, electrical equipment, isolation meters and multimeters.

Electrical trades experience within troubleshooting power electronics and low voltage controls.

Ex Military with electrical experience would be useful

Familiarity with designing and troubleshooting solar PV systems, and battery storage.

Certifications and/or previous training in renewable energy, solar electric design

There will be training for the candidate but basic electrical is a must

Additional useful skills will include; General Computer skills, Video knowledge, Zoom calls, drawing wiring diagrams, any QuickBooks knowledge

Basic sales skills as you will be working with prospective Electrical installers in various fields. Mainly mobile applications. Off grid knowledge also a plus. Personable able to convey experience to customers in an easy manner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
