The Role:
The Teen Reach Coordinator is responsible for effectively implementing and maintaining a variety of Teen and after-school programs and activities that are fun, engaging and support our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship
What you'll do:
- Manage educational and recreational programming for teens ages 11 18
- Direct programming for youth ages 6 18, with an emphasis on ages 11-18
- Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly program plans
- Completes mandatory monthly and quarterly reports accurately by due dates and provides documentation to supervisor as requested
- Scans Teen REACH participants on a daily basis and tracks attendance
- Retrieves and submits report cards for identified youth during specified marking periods
- Completes and updates intake/membership forms of Teen REACH participants
- Updates and maintains Teen REACH data base and files for participants
- Interprets and communicates Teen REACH programs goals, objectives and outcomes to the staff, members and community
- Builds and maintains partnerships with schools and organizations dedicated to serving youth.
- Recruits members as needed to reach program goals
- Ensures that all mandatory Teen Reach programs are scheduled, implemented and evaluated.
- Attends all mandatory meetings and trainings
- Provides coverage as needed to provide quality programming and a safe environment for youth
- Coordinates holiday special events
- Provides illustrated bulletin boards, posters and flyers for activity announcements and promotions
- Keeps tables and equipment supplies in good working condition.
- Supports field trips
- Support club administrative duties and grant reporting as needed (e.g. attendance entry, program reports)
- Provides reports to the Program Director or Club Manager as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
How you'll do it:
- High School Diploma or equivalency, College courses preferred
- Experience in working directly with youth
- Case Management experience is a plus. A strong desire to work with youth ages 12-18 as evidenced by previous work/volunteer experiences
- Existing knowledge of youth development stages and psycho social needs
- Experience in any of the following areas: Physical Education, Computer Education, Art, Drama, Music or Dance is a plus
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral problems
- Strong communication skills
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire
Environmental and Working Conditions:
Direct programming for youth ages 6 18, with an emphasis on ages 11-18. High traffic and contact with people. Community Outreach and local travel will be necessary.

Physical requirements related to office work and youth development work.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
