Job description

Position Summary:
The candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Structural Engineers, Designers and Engineers in other disciplines and other team members to accurately and efficiently detail structural and miscellaneous steel projects using Tekla Structures while ensuring client standards are upheld and company procedures are followed.

Basic Duties:

• Prepare Tekla models following the structural and architectural design drawings and specifications.
• Connect steel members per standard M3 and custom connection design.
• Create and modify single part assembly, and erection drawings.
• Coordinate with fabricators, engineers, and architects to meet project requirements.
• Model steel structures and perform self-checking procedures.
• Modify models as needed after review from checkers and approval comments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience with Tekla is required.
• Strong working knowledge of detailing design standards and guidelines
• Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detail-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.
• Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working on multidisciplinary design, construction and or mining projects.
• A valid passport or the ability to obtain one.
