Job Title: Telecom Technician (Network Technician)
Location: Carlsbad NM 88220 / Midland TX 79706
Mode : Fulltime
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
· Handle incidents and Service requests , including Industrial network devices like Radios, Microwave, VSAT, etc.
- Perform visual checks for hardware failure lights or console error messages,
power status and hardware labels wherever.
- Patching cable installation and troubleshooting
- Installing power leads
- Updating knowledge base
- Console into network devices, including routers, switches, gateways, radios, etc
- Identify a switch port location
- Identify WAP connectivity status
- Basic Copper Cable troubleshooting
- Basic Fiber Optic Troubleshooting
- Install, remove, or swap equipment
- Effectively manage work queue
- Perform MACD (move, add, change, delete) activities for end user LAN and voice devices
- Provide daily report of activities
· Configuration changes on switch ports
· Troubleshooting, installing, and where necessary removing equipment and/or components
· Configuration changes such as VLAN assignments
· Configuration changes in APs
· Basic configuration changes in VG
· VOIP Troubleshooting
· Assist in troubleshoot and testing network equipment and components
· Apply Switch and router configurations
· Copper Cable Troubleshooting
· Fiber Optic Troubleshooting
· Troubleshooting of radio systems, including cellular, MW, VSAT, and IIoT
· Trouble shooting and configuration of Specialty Telecoms systems
· Work independently on assigned tasks
· Provide support for installation, maintenance, and repair of
· Fiber Optic & Copper Cable
· WiFi and BLE Systems
· Radio Systems
· VSAT
· Cellular based systems
· IIoT, including IpWAN
Physical fitness:
· Ability to cover ground by walking and to stand in most part of the working hours
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs
· Ability to drive 4x4 trucks and snowmobiles in fields/rigs to cover operational support

Educational Qualifications and experience:
- Have bachelor’s degree or Technical Degree and relevant experience
- Certified with technical certificates like CCNA, CCNP will be ideal
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in IT industry
o Experienced in racking, stacking, cabling, and decommissioning of Network Hardware devices
o Experienced in Smart Hand Support for Network device maintenance
- Strong Verbal and Written communication skills
- Willingness to work in shifts, attend on calls and weekend work as per schedule
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $65,000.00 per year
