Job Title: Telehealth Project Manager

Location: Williamsburg, Virginia/ 5220 Monticello Avenue

Salary: ($33.00/hour) 24-32 hours per week

Employment Type: Part Time, some benefits, in person and remote

Position Overview:

We are looking to add an experienced leader to our team who will be responsible for setting up and managing our telehealth program. The Telehealth Project Manager is responsible for evaluating and managing operational functions by taking the initiative to strategize, train and guide staff to foster an environment of teamwork. This position will participate in helping coordinate patient care and work with staff to facilitate an exceptional patient experience. This position has some flexibility with regard to the schedule, but the person must physically reside in the Hampton Roads/Richmond area of Virginia.

This individual will work with a team ranging from physicians to administrative employees while proactively managing the telehealth program. A business mindset and patient focused values are essential to succeeding in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day to day operations of telehealth program
• Train and support staff
• Actively create structure and processes to serve patients/families and operate efficiently
• Understanding of legal and regulatory health care environment and analytic skills to implement policies in the unique setting
• Proactively strategize and take initiative to advance the organization
• Works directly with staff to develop workflows, and standards of work to ensure high adoption and compliance
• Continues to manage the success of the program once the service has begun
• Serves as the main point of contact for project issue coordination and resolution

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in a Business or Healthcare related field
• Experience managing telehealth programs or relevant management experience
• Experience using EMR systems
• Strong technology skills and working knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Result-driven critical thinking abilities
• Emotional intelligence
• Patience, persistence, and a good attitude

Personal:

Must be COVID vaccinated or receive an applicable exemption approved by Edmarc. Must be able to pass Criminal Records Background Check. Must be able to pass Driving Records Check upon hire and annually. Must be able to pass the Abuse Registry Check. Must receive yearly influenza vaccination. Must have a current driver’s license.

Edmarc works to ease the trauma of a child's illness or death and to reduce the disabling effects of pediatric illness, loss, and bereavement for families throughout the Hampton Roads region. Registered nurses and medical social workers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to any family who has a child with a life-threatening illness. In addition to the child who needs our care, we center much of our efforts on helping siblings and parents/caregivers handle the effects of a child’s life-limiting illness. The hospice/palliative care program is designed to provide medical and supportive care for children so as to maximize the family’s options for home care of a terminally ill child, prevent unnecessary institutionalization and minimize the long-term ill effects of parental and sibling separation. Edmarc’s nursing program is comprised of registered nurses with extensive experience and training in palliative care and caring for children. They perform many tests and procedures in the home that would otherwise require hospitalization.
