The Warehouse Worker is a temporary position and is paid hourly starting at $21.61.

Alaska Village Electric is unlike any other utility in the world. We are a member-driven generation and distribution utility serving residents in 58 locations throughout rural Alaska with its headquarters in Anchorage, AK. The communities that Alaska Village Electric Cooperative serves receive power via small, isolated grids that utilize diesel generation and renewable sources. AVEC serves the rural Alaska communities with 11,513 meters, 515 miles of distribution line.

As a Temporary Warehouse Worker your primary role will be shipping equipment and materials to Villages but you will also provide support to Operations and assist with all warehouse activities to include receiving, storage, and issuing of construction and maintenance materials, equipment, and safety equipment in the headquarters warehouse; maintain warehousing facility in a safe, orderly fashion; maintain accurate record of materials receipts, issues, and turn-ins; participate in monthly inventory closures; perform all other duties as required for success of the department. The Warehouse Worker is part of a small team who work in a fast paced environment that helps to keep projects moving and ultimately the lights on in our 58 Alaskan Villages.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, dependable, knowledgeable of Alaska's statewide air cargo system and transportation logistics, self-motivated, flexible, will thrive on responsibility, and will love to be challenged and learn new things.
