Job Summary: We are looking for a Terminal Manager to supervise the operations of our North Charleston SC trucking terminal.
As a terminal manager, you oversee transportation operations. In this role, you may dispatch transit vehicles, direct employees at the terminal itself, and otherwise ensure your transportation network continues to function properly. You may also schedule service and maintenance for the vehicles in your fleet.

Duties and Responsabilities:
- Lead, guide, and direct terminal employees including setting targets, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and counseling.
- Responsible for payroll, attendance, personnel files.
- Accountable for the management of an efficient and clean and safe LTL operation.
- Responsible for all dock onboarding and training and assuring that all paperwork is processed according to company guidelines.
- Ensure compliance in regards to safety rules and regulations with all company and government agencies.
- Responsible for adhering to and creating a successful business plan and P&L Analysis.
- Distribute all work assignments according to the Terminal's daily load plan and ensure the proper amount of labor is used to complete the plan.
- Work with OS&D supervisor to ensure customer satisfaction. This will include completing daily dock inventory and reporting any discrepancies.
- Complete investigations into any issues causing a customer complaint and diagnose the root cause and present a solution.
- Investigate and communicate any employee complaints to Senior Leadership, Human Resources, and Safety.
- Improve quality control by completing daily dock check before runs leave in the AM, and assist in implementing processes such as truck assignment, door control, paperwork processes, and company policies.
- Oversee necessary building/yard maintenance including prevention and repairs.
- Aid/oversee local recruiting efforts.
- Ensure positive and professional customer service and aid terminal employees in improving their customer service skills.

Qualifications:
Job Experience
- Experienced in transportation and logistics.
- Strong knowledge in DOT regulations
- Possess excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Willing to be flexible based on changing business levels.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable learning and using multiple software systems.
- 2 - 4 years of Supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of local ports and drayage.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, business management, or a similar field preferred
Certifications:
- Valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
