We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Test Project Manager to work out of Kirtland AFB, in New Mexico.
PAY: $125,000 - $145,000
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides technical expertise to support United States Space Force, Space Delta 12 (DEL 12), Operating Location-A. Interface with USSF and AFOTEC test and evaluation organizations to determine project staffing requirements and coordination of resources to ensure adequate support is available for vital test programs. Job location is Kirtland AFB, NM with occasional travel to Colorado Springs, CO and Los Angeles, CA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Provide continuity, expertise, and direct support to DEL12 test teams for planning, execution, reporting of specific test programs.
- Attend program meetings and interact with DEL12 test teams, SPOs, and DOT&E personnel.
- Generates courses of action (COAs) recommendations to resolve test schedule conflicts; works with HQ AFOTEC personnel to identify optimal way forward.
- DEL 12 POC for test programs at HQ AFOTEC; works with HQ AFOTEC, STARCOM S2/3V, and 12 DOS staff for scheduling product reviews/briefings related to oversight test events and activities.
- Assists the government in HQ AFOTEC A3 process reviews and working groups to improve AFOTEC staffing processes related to space test projects
- Assist the Government in reviewing, interpreting, and coordinating instructions, and manuals to ensure test program continuity
- Provide continuity of knowledge to facilitate adapting, tailoring methods and products for a system under test
- Gatekeeper for all documentation submitted to AFOTEC HQ by Delta 12 and its subordinate units; products need to be relevant, credible, & timely for Command Section and the warfighter
- Attend test design working groups, measures workshops, integrated test teams, and threat conferences to ensure appropriate test factors and levels are incorporated into test designs
- Update test teams products and ensure all documents and briefings comply with senior level coordination guidance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 years of technical experience in DoD and USAF OT&E policy, procedures, and requirements in evaluating new and existing space systems in a realistic environment
- Understanding of AFSPC systems to include space surveillance, missile warning, Air Force Satellite Control network, and satellite command and control systems
- Possess thorough knowledge of DOD and USAF AFI 99-103 test and evaluation processes
- Experience and understanding of the interaction with the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation organization.
- AFOTEC, operational test experience, previous space operations, or space acquisition experience is highly desired
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.
