Test Technician
Location: Melville, NY*
FUNCTION:*

Responsible for troubleshooting and/or testing of company products following standard methods and procedures and adhering to established specifications, using standard laboratory equipment.
Works under the limited supervision of the senior test department staff. Reports to the Director of Production Test.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

Performs tests of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies to determine if the assemblies meet specification.

• Performs tests and troubleshoots equipment by setting up and using standard laboratory equipment.
• Works from schematics, specifications, sketches or other authorized information to determine performance requirements of equipment being tested.
• Repairs, adjusts and calibrates equipment to bring it within requirements.
• Maintains accurate records of all work performed.
• May participate in field tests and other travel duties.
• Follows departmental procedures and guidelines.
• Performs the duties of the Electronics Technician I as needed.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Maintains a positive work environment by professional and courteous conduct and communications with others, including supervisors, co-workers, clients, and vendors.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:*

2 years technical or military schooling or equivalent preferred.
