Summary

The Chair holder will teach management and leadership courses with a focus on business ethics at the undergraduate and graduate levels and bring together accomplished business and not-for-profit professionals, faculty and students to engage in conversations related to business and ethics. In addition, the Chair holder will organize conferences and symposia to assist business leaders, students and faculty gain special insight into the challenges of ethical and moral leadership in today’s business world. He or she will be an active scholar and a participant in international business ethics organizations. The Chair holder’s teaching and research should help elevate John Carroll University’s Boler School of Business to be known as a scholarly center of excellence in the United States, and would be expected to inspire John Carroll students to think very differently about the future of business and how to resolve ethical, moral and social problems and challenges that cut across international and cultural boundaries.

Required Qualifications
Candidates at the associate level will be considered for appointment at the endowed Professor level while candidates at the rank of Professor will be appointed at the endowed Chair level.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching and research in leadership or management preferred.
