Job Title: Therapist
Reports To: Program Director
Job Summary: The Therapist is responsible for a comprehensive range of therapeutic services that support the prevention, intervention, and diagnosis and treatment of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The Therapist works as a member of a multidisciplinary team to produce the best outcome for clients.
Work Environment: The Teen Project Inc., operates Vera’s Sanctuary for Women, serving human-trafficked, at-risk, addicted, and homeless young women in Orange County. We provide drug treatment at no cost to the recipient through the support of the Department of Public Health, Orange County Health agency, gracious donors, and other applicable funding sources. Vera’s Sanctuary for Women is an innovative center that combines drug treatment, education, housing, and workforce development.
Cultural Competency and Diversity: Demonstrate competency in understanding policies, procedures, practices, and organizational infrastructure to support the delivery of culturally and linguistically sensitive and appropriate healthcare services where culture is broadly defined.
Minimum qualifications:
Registered in CA with the BBS as an AMFT, APCC, ASCW OR LMFT, LPCC, LCSW
Valid California driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance
Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
First Aid/CPR Certified
Upon Hire:
Tuberculosis clearance
Physical clearance
Pre-employment drug screening
Live Scan/background check clearance

Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
