Job Summary:
To contribute quality care and service to the client by providing professional work in the performance. Work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
ASSESSMENT: Interviews client upon admission for detailed Psychosocial history and provide comprehensive information, diagnostic summary, and treatment recommendations for client care.
DISCHARGE PLANNING: Assess client and family needs and resources and arranges appropriate discharge plan in a timely fashion.
CLIENT AND FAMILY COUNSELING: Provide client and family group work services including psychosocial therapies, client and family conferences to share diagnostic information, and information regarding the patient’s progress in treatment, assess client/client-family relationships, and coordinate treatment and discharge plans.
Qualifications:
Licensed in the mental health field by the State of Florida Department of Health. Must possess knowledge of the ability to implement psychological therapies. The abilities necessary to assess client and family needs to develop and carry out appropriate treatment and discharge plans. Interpersonal skills are required to provide effective counseling on an outpatient basis.
