JOB DESCRIPTION
Stevens Marine is currently seeking a full-time 8am-5pm, DMV/OMB Title Clerk & Receptionist. The DMV/OMB Title Clerk & Receptionist performs a wide range of administrative and office support duties associated with boat/trailer documentation, such as titles, registrations, license plates, and other vehicle or owner information. He or she also helps with inventory tracking, record keeping, and reporting.
The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED, some post-secondary education (degree, coursework, or certification), recent Oregon DMV Title experience, strong administrative, organizational, and computer skills, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Fluent English speaking and written communication skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages vehicle documentation, including tax and title information, registrations, etc.
- Helps with vehicle inventory control and maintains accurate records
- Manages inbound phone inquiries and routes calls accordingly
- Registering boats, motors, & trailers warranties with vendors and applying for vendor rebates
- Notarizing various company documents
- Reviewing and submitting bank contracts for customer loans
- Process and submit documents for state registration, as well as any out of state tax and titling requirements.
- Process registrations for new and used vehicles, license plate issuing and transfers.
- Check for completeness and signatures on all required forms.
- Verify funds have been collected and payoffs have been completed.
- Maintain titles and MSO’s for inventory.
- Provides administrative assistance as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
- One year of relevant experience
- Excellent telephone skills
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Notary
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
- Highly professional and dependable
- Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Word & Excel
- Typewriter Experience
