Toddlers Teacher Position
Our professional team of early childhood educators is looking for a highly qualified candidate who is also passionate about teaching young children program under supportive and caring leadership.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enforce rules of student behavior, establish classroom routines, and execute classroom management practices and procedures
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lessons, provide indoor and outdoor opportunities for the children, and adapt teaching methods and curriculum to meet student’s varying needs, interests, abilities, developmental levels and learning styles.
- Physical requirements: must be able to lift 40 lbs., bend or squat to the floor, and interact with children on their physical level.
- Must provide basic needs of the children including change diapers and/or soiled clothing, present a nurturing and supportive demeanor, assist with snacks/lunches, and provide rest/nap time.
- Observe, assess, and document student learning progress and development to provide for parents’ awareness and to use in teacher-parent conferences.
- Interact daily with parents, develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents, encourage parental involvement in the program, and provide open and cooperative communication with families.
- Collaborate with others to implement lesson plans and activities that promote student learning and development, and provide opportunities that encourage student exploration, problem solving, and social skills.
- Submit lesson plans two weeks in advance of implementation date for Director review and approval.
- Adhere to all Texas Child Care Regulation requirements for licensed centers including, but not limited to, health and safety of students, classroom and building sanitation, and appropriate supervision of children.
- Plan and prepare the classroom setting, and maintain organization and functionality of the classroom.
- Attend professional training, staff meetings, and other required events as mandated by the Texas Child Care Regulation.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Patient and engaging personality
- Self-control: maintain composure and keep emotions in check during stressful situations.
- Displays creativity abilities and a passion for teaching young children and for developing preschool-related activities
- Knowledge of early childhood curriculum and child development.
- Knowledge of instructional methods appropriate for preschool-aged children or infants/toddlers as related to position
- Knowledge of childcare programing as related to licensed centers in the state of Texas.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, OR
- CDA (Child Development Associate), OR
- Proof of enrollment in a program.
- Minimum two years working in a licensed child care center, OR
- Child Care Regulation Pre-service training.
- Meet background check eligibility
- Current CPR certification
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
