Tool and Die Makers
Summary:
Responsible for repairing dies and making adjustments as needed to run dies in accordance with the customers’ standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing:
- Preventive maintenance on metal stamping dies
- Equipment quality checks
- Welding tasks as needed.
- Other duties as required.
- Troubleshooting equipment in a production environment
- Setting dies
Education/Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent through graduation from a technical school is preferred.
- Journeyman Tool and Die Card from the Department of Labor is preferred.
- Experience working:
- In an automotive sheet metal stamping facility is a plus
- With large transfer and progressive dies is a plus
- As a Die Maker in a high-output automotive manufacturing facility.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Able to operate simple tool room machines and weld.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb for extended periods of time.
- Ability to solve problems and work with support personnel.
- Complete all required and applicable training by the company and its customers.

- Wage- $32.47 an hour
- Shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shift- $0.30
- Sign-on bonus - $10,000.00 paid within the first 30 days of employment, must agree to stay employed for a period of 2 years or pay the bonus back if they leave.
- Benefits- Medical available 1st of the month after 90 days, dental after 6 months (See attachment)
- Vacation- not eligible until 2022, they must work 1400 hours in 2021 in order to get 5 paid days in 2022.
- OT- time and one half after 8 hours in a day, time and one half on Saturday if they work all scheduled hours during the week, and double time on Sunday.
- 401K- the Company matches $.50 on the dollar up to 2.5% of their income.

- In an automotive sheet metal stamping facility with large transfer and progressive dies is a plus.

This position reports directly to the Tooling Supervisor who is responsible for their department.
They are not interested in Millwright and are really focusing on Industrial Maintenance that have some electrical experience.
We have openings for Tool and Die Makers on all shifts, the primary focus should be on 2ndshift but if you have someone interested in the other shifts, we would like to look at them as well. They do prefer a journeyman’s card of course but they will consider candidates if they have other schooling or references that prove they have worked in the trade.

Please also note that we have increased our wages for skilled trades to $32.47 and increased the sign on bonus to 10K
