Machine various components to print specification including sourcing of materials, developing machining processes, creating CNC programs and providing measurement results.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years or older
- Tool-making apprenticeship completion or 5+ years machining experience required.
- Computer aided machining a plus
- Minimum four years of experience in precision machining, including turning, milling, ID (Internal Diameter), OD (Outer Diameter) & surface grinding, writing CNC programs
- Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructions
- Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
- Must be able to function in a noisy and fast paced environment
- Demonstrates self-initiative
- Expert in various measurement tools, ID, OD and depth micrometers, height gage, manual CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine),
- Expert in prints including geometric dimensions
- Working knowledge in materials, tools steels, aluminum and stainless steels
- Experience in material heat treating including tempering.
- Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork
- Must be willing to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes
- Must be flexible to work other shifts for training, coaching, projects and travel as needed
