Tour Planner – Janesville, WI
Job Summary
Coach USA, one of the largest transportation companies in North America, is hiring a full time Tour Planner at its Janesville, WI location. The ideal candidate will be an organized, detailed, and motivated individual who can lead themselves into success as a Tour Planner. They will exhibit excellent customer service and sales skills, be computer savvy and familiar with all the divisions of the company. This position reports to the Director of Tour and Travel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide quality customer service, utilize proper phone etiquette, and maintain a positive attitude
Research destinations, activities, restaurants, hotels etc… for group travel
Answer and service all incoming calls, emails, mail as well as work with clients in person
Create, maintain and input one-day, extended day and flyaway retail and custom group tours
Become efficient in current software program to include inputting and updating tour details, book, cancel, as well as change passenger reservations as needed
Collect, process, post, refund appropriate funds to and from client/vendor accounts accordingly
Creatively write tour descriptions and assist in creating annual travel
Develop and maintain a professional network of travel partners (clients, group leaders, vendors etc…)
Communicate and coordinate with colleagues as necessary

Required Experience/Skills:
Proven customer service experience
Prior Travel / Event Planning preferred
Detail oriented
Professional Writing Skills
Must be able to work independently
Must be highly self-motivated
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Publisher)
Excellent communication skills
