Apollo is searching for a hands-on business-focused technology manager to lead the trade processing technology team in advancing the technology capabilities of the Investment Operations business. The ideal candidate will have functional knowledge in confirmation, settlement, asset servicing, and collateral management functions and a proven track record of delivery on large complex programs. The individual will work closely and partner with Investment Operations and teams across technology to deliver on projects that provide the capabilities defined in the target operating model.
Primary Responsibilities

Manage and continue to build and mature the global trade processing and asset servicing team

Oversee the budget, resources, and vendors that provide technology services for Investment Operations

Provide application ownership for the portfolio of applications (TradeFlow, OMGEO, SWIFT, TriOptima, etc.)

Ensure appropriate project governance is maintained including budgets, schedule, risk, and required management reporting to ensure successful implementations.

Work with operations professionals to understand and produce business and functional requirements and collaborate with the development teams to implement solutions.

Work with Apollo internal resources as well as application vendors to establish the appropriate development approach, budget, and timeline

Communicate effectively with stakeholders and build relationships on a continuous basis

Assist with the analysis of investment operations processes and capabilities and the ongoing development of a technology strategy

Act as an escalation point for support issues and increase in-house functional support resolution
Qualifications & Experience
-
15+ years of technology experience in financial services
-
Deep understanding of the middle and back office post-trade functions (e.g., trade operations, collateral management, asset servicing, reconciliation, etc.)

Strong experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies

Subject matter expertise in credit instruments (Bank Loans, Bonds, Derivatives, etc.)

Solid understanding of the full trade lifecycle

Experience managing a global team of technical staff

Knowledge of middle and back-office application platforms

Knowledge of OMS/EMS platforms a plus

Excellent communications skills, with the ability to work with business users as well as other members of the global technology team

Strong analytical skills

Experience working with data warehouses and business intelligence platforms is a plus

Knowledge and experience with SQL to analyze and research data as needed

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver multiple projects on time and within budget

Adept at listening and soliciting user requirements and feedback

Must be self-directed and motivated while being a solid team player with a strong work ethic

Ability to thrive in a high-intensity faced paced environment

An advanced degree is strongly desired

Pay Range
180,000 - 240,000
