INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency located in Huntington Beach, CA, is searching for a seasoned Traffic Manager to join our growing Genesis team!

This position is primarily responsible for the following Traffic functions:
Manage broadcast traffic needs for Genesis National + Local; script management, closed captioning (when applicable), trafficking commercials for air, partnering with third party media buying agency, provide information/assets for historical projects and special requests; manage deliverables doc and code assignment for running footage as well as code assignment for misc digital/social requests. Also provides assistance to other traffic managers, as assigned by Director, Broadcast Traffic.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • GMA script management; route, revise, distribute scripts to the team throughout the various stages.
  • Track communications pertaining to script revisions, follow-up, respond as needed, ensuring accuracy.
  • Create and provide broadcast deliverables documents to producers, as needed.
  • Provide final files to the Business Affairs team for network clearance
  • Work with regional account team to compile tagging scripts and documents for tagging sessions, proofing documentation prior to release.
  • Manage and assign Ad-ID commercial and digital video code numbers, updating internal records, when applicable.
  • Communicate commercial metadata and master delivery status to vendor; advising of any changes.
  • Monitor master delivery/uploading of commercials to ensure materials are being delivered in time for commercial integration.
  • Review traffic/rotation grids for accuracy, provide to third party media buying agency ensuring timely receipt of rotations in order to meet air dates. Communicating master delivery status and authorization to ship.
  • Assist with resolving station inquiries regarding delivered content, directing communications to ensure an efficient and effective resolution.
  • Screen final commercials for accuracy, advising the team of any discrepancies, compile/distribute As-Produced scripts
  • Manage and assign Ad-ID commercial and digital video code numbers, updating internal records, when applicable.
  • Create and provide broadcast deliverables documents to producers for running footage, as needed.
  • Assist with historical projects and special requests by researching and providing commercial information (code numbers, first air date, etc.), as well as, materials (Quicktime files), when required.
  • Assist Producers with retrieval requests for masters and production elements.
  • Assist and back up co-workers as needed.


Fiscal Responsibilities

  • Compile quarterly dubs/shipping and storage estimates, actualize estimates, create invoice log sheet, when required
  • Revise and actualize quarterly estimates, routing to appropriate parties.
  • Ensure purchase orders are provided to and signed by all vendors prior to commencement of work, and that vendor invoices are promptly reviewed, approved and forwarded to Finance for payment processing.
  • Establish and update Broadcast Traffic invoice log sheet pertaining to quarterly dubs and shipping, maintain pdf files of signed purchase orders and approved invoices on server.
  • Identify and apply cost efficiencies when purchasing vendor services.

  • Must be a self-initiator who can work with limited supervision, taking charge of their responsibilities, anticipating next steps and team needs.
  • Must be highly organized and possess the ability to work on detail intensive work while maintaining a very high level of accuracy.
  • Candidate must have solid communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to articulate with accuracy and clarity is essential.
  • Must effectively partner with different work styles while producing the needed end result.


Experience and Education

  • Ideal candidate has 1-2 years broadcast traffic experience within an advertising agency, managing scripts and station trafficking processes.
  • Experience on an automotive account, is desirable.
  • Familiarity with traffic systems (MediaOcean/Spectra OX, Donovan, Media Bank…), as well as, Ad-ID is a plus.
  • Candidates without broadcast traffic background must have work experience reflecting the ability to manage a high volume of details in a deadline driven environment where accuracy and communication skills are imperative.
  • College degree, preferred.


Technical Knowledge

  • Experience with MAC preferred. Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel. MS PowerPoint is helpful.
  • Knowledge of audio and video file formats (.wav, .aiff, .mp3, .mov, .wmv, etc.), and static TV billboard formats (.jpg, eps) is required.
  • Familiarity with MediaOcean/Spectra OX, Donovan Data Systems and/or Media Bank traffic systems is preferred.

Salary range: $67,000 to $73,000
Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: experience, training, and transferable skills.
