Become a Training & Knowledge Management (TKM) Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will work with all levels of the organization to mature Customer Service Operations Division (CSOD’s) use of automation and standard SharePoint tools to improve the work efficiencies of CSOD clients.
Develop short- and long-term strategies for Information Management (IM) to ensure we continually provide process improvements and increased efficiencies. Requires in-depth knowledge of automated solutions and SharePoint to establish strategy and guide organizational use.
- Problem management for resolution of organizational issues in CSOD related to the IM SharePoint structure, access architecture, governance, and strategy.
- Planning, defining, & maintaining strategies, including resources and multi-year schedules.
- Ability to analyze differences between SharePoint structure vs user issues and identify appropriate solutions.
- Strategic oversight in developing internal IM governance and policies.
- Identifying business needs and turning these needs into business requirements. Gather business needs for custom solutions and report out to collaborators and SCE Executives.

Team Oversight:
- Project manage development and implementation of multiple simultaneous projects establishing clear deliverables and schedules by structuring the work, organizing and motivating cross-functional teams, executing component tasks, tracking and reporting progress, and making tradeoffs as conditions change.
- Identify financial or operational impact to the business unit in order to prioritize work for the TKM-IM team.
- Work with the clients to identify return on investment (current and future cost savings) associated with solutions implemented for the business.
- Lead offshore teams including negotiation of contracts, review and approval of invoicing, day to day operations, and annual performance evaluations.
Production Support:
- Prioritize work, solve problems, and demonstrate the ability to work from information available and arrive at logical conclusions, including the use of reasonable assumptions.
- Provide training requirements for development of training materials on standard and customized SharePoint solutions as well as other automated solutions.
- Address incoming service requests that vary from granting access to troubleshooting minor/moderate issues with client solutions/sites.
Project Evaluation:
- Meet with clients to gather business requirements for their projects and propose recommendations/solutions.
- Perform internal User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as necessary to ensure project requirements are met.
- Demonstrate value of IM and ability to serve the business through presentations and reports for all levels of the organization.
The essentials
- Ten (10) or more years of experience in information management within a fast-past environment managing simultaneous priorities.
- Five (5) or more years of experience managing medium to large scale full-cycle projects.
- Experience developing SharePoint automation or other automated solutions.
- Experience with Customer Service business operations.
The preferred
- Master's Degree in Business, Information Technology or related field.
- Project Management certification
- Proficient with Microsoft Power BI and InfoPath to aid in solution design concept creation.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills to effectively communicate and interact with personnel at all levels.
You should know
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
