Job Responsibilities/Duties
Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) is the tank farm operating contractor at the Hanford Site located in Richland, WA. The WRPS mission is to safely store, retrieve, and treat 56 million gallons of legacy radioactive and hazardous waste. WRPS seeks a highly experienced Training Specialist who will be responsible primarily for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating Conduct of Operations, Nuclear Safety Culture and Continuing Training programs.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible primarily for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating Conduct of Operations, Nuclear Safety Culture and Continuing Training programs.
• Leads a group and/or functional area to ensure that training is consistent, cost effective, and meets all requirements.
• Designs, develops, coordinates, and implements effective training methods/curriculums to provide employees with the technical knowledge and skills required to perform their jobs safely and proficiently.
• Accountable for student skill acquisition and evaluates student performance.
• May function as a training program lead and oversee the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and administration of training programs for classroom, on-the-job, simulator, or online learning.
• Keeps abreast of training and development research, new materials, methods, and techniques.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) and 10 years' practical work experience in training or related areas, or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.

• Must have previously taken courses in education or training with emphasis on instructional analysis, design development, implementation, and evaluation which may or may not have been included in secondary education curriculum.
• This position falls under DOE Order 426.2 and as such must meet the conditions of the order. This may require additional specific training and/or knowledge dependent on the position's duties and responsibilities.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desired Qualifications
- Previous DOE/DOD, military, commercial, or similar hazardous facility experience strongly desired.

• Master's degree
• Working knowledge of industrial wastewater treatment, hazardous materials management, and transportation.
• Subject Matter Expert knowledge of Conduct of Operations and Nuclear Safety Culture.
• Familiarity with applicable federal laws and DOE orders.
• Previous leadership experience.

Compensation & Benefits
Grade 20:
Hiring Range Minimum: $122,813
Hiring Range Maximum: $154,838

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
