The Transporter for the Central Sterile Department is responsible for the preparing, storing, and distributing of equipment as needed for patient care in compliance with good hospital practice standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Responsibility Highlights

• Transport equipment from Nursing units and other departments to Central Services for general cleaning.
• Return cleaned equipment to designated departments after general cleaning.
• Deliver supplies to Nursing Units and other departments, as directed.
• Keep Central Services areas where cleaning takes place clean, dry and uncluttered.
