Birchcrest Tree and Landscape, Inc. is looking for a year-round Tree Climber with a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the tree care industry.
Duties may include:
- Duties include trimming and removing trees for our customers. Tree climbing, chipper, log loader operation, and ground cleanup.
Requirements include:
- Prior experience climbing for a tree-care company
- Must be able to prune and remove trees in a safe manner while utilizing machinery
- Self-motivated individual able to work well with a team of co-workers
- Experience with safe operation of chainsaws and other pruning equipment
- Excellent work habits and organizational skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- ISA Certified Arborist status, and/or CDL highly desirable but not required
Minimum Requirements
- Must be able to wear necessary PPE
- Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments
- Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment
- Clean driver's license
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test
- **Given the dangerous nature of the work required, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time**
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, move and maneuver heavy weights of 10 pounds frequently, and weights of up to 50 pounds
- Gripping

- Climbing on and off truck
- Balancing
- Pulling and pushing
