Overall Purpose of the Role

The TRICARE TEPPS position is responsible for the accurate and timely enrolling, creating accounts and posting of receipts of healthcare premiums from beneficiaries and for actively participating in the account reconciliation process in coordination with external sub-contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and carry out all policies and procedures pertaining to the duties of a TRICARE Select Executive which govern the protection of confidential patient and beneficiary information as dictated by the United States Government in accordance with the International SOS Assistance,Inc. / TRICARE Overseas Program Contract.
  • Answer all incoming calls using the prescribed protocols. Maintain all documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to in-bound inquiries generated from our beneficiaries to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Comply within established service recovery protocol
  • Responsible for confirming eligibility to enroll into the TRICARE Select or Premium Based Program
  • Enroll all eligible beneficiaries into appropriate TRICARE program
  • Responsible for all cash applications including check, wire, ACH, and credit card payments on a timely basis
  • Work with internal supervisor and external contractors to resolve cash application issues with the customers, including refund of over payments or duplicate payments
  • Work directly with beneficiaries on premium payment management and discrepancy resolution via telephone, mail and email correspondence
  • Responsible for reconciliation of internal payment logs against financial system reports
  • Manage TRICARE beneficiary mail, email inquiries and telephone inquiries on inbound and outbound basis
  • Create internal correspondence summary reports for management
  • Assist with the training of new staff by mentoring them during their training program, when asked.
  • Attends and participates in International SOS staff meetings and educational offerings


Required Qualifications

Required Work Experience (Brief description of the job-related experience needed to perform the job)
  • Government contractor experience a plus
  • Good computer skills; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

o Relevant accounting experience required
o Knowledge of accounts receivable or collection experience preferred
o Knowledge of general accounting practices, journal entries, and minimal analytical skills preferred
o Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain interim Tier 3/ Level II IT Security Clearance and maintain full Tier 3/ Level II IT Security Clearance (previously referred to as ADP II Clearance) upon offer acceptance
o Typing speed of 35 wpm

o Able to work shift work (Days, Evening) on a rotational basis.
o Complete special projects/other assignments as requested by management
