We are seeking a candidate to fill dual responsibilities. Shop laborer responsibilities include coordinating with shop supervisor to most efficiently complete job requirements and maintain on-time delivery. Truck driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products to our customers. Driver is tasked with driving and maintaining trucks, and work with shipping department to plan routes and track deliveries. A Commercial Class B (CDL) License is required. Successful candidates must have clean driving record and must pass a drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

Safety

• Promote and engage in a safe work environment
• Report safety incidents
• Display good housekeeping in work areas
• Ensure adherence to OSHA and Onex safety policies
• Adherence to DOT Laws

Planning and Scheduling

• Load and operate Onex trucks as necessary.
• Communicates with construction and shop managers on job deliveries
• Maintains cleanliness of trucks
• Assist with maintenance schedule of the trucks
• Efficiency in deliveries (i.e. multiple deliveries per trip)
• Assist in shop work during trucking downtime, including precast, maintenance, and/or mold making
• Complete general work requirements as designated to meet forecasted production

Productivity

• Completes deliveries in a timely manner with most efficient driving route
• Works to overcome delivery challenges to keep the job on schedule
• Reports any alterations in truck route to shop supervisor
• Identify ways to improve efficiency
• Ensures proper use of Electronic Logging Device (ELD)

Quality

• Accurate and reliable with the quality of work results
• Ensure job scope was completed based on material requirements
• Proper loading of trucks including weight restrictions, proper tie downs and tarping
• Ensures timely delivery with no damaged materials, tools, or equipment
