Position Summary

The Truck Driver is responsible for the timely delivery of all materials to the job sites. This position is deemed safety sensitive due to the fact that a person improperly performing the essential or marginal functions of the job would constitute a threat to the health or safety of the employee, the employee s co-workers, and/or the public at large.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver various types of materials that are required for each job site.
• Operate truck with a standard transmission.
• Responsible for proper loading and securing loads on truck and trailer.
• Pick up miscellaneous materials at the suppliers.
• Clean up shop and yard when not making deliveries.
• Responsible for minor maintenance on trucks.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Qualifications

Must have a valid Class A CDL license and a good driving record with DOT Certification. Must be able to drive a one-ton truck pulling a tandem axle trailer. Must have previous flat bed experience. May be required to deliver across state lines.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift 100 pounds frequently. Must be able to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time. Must be able to sit and drive the truck for long periods of time. Job requires considerable amounts of bending, stooping, and carrying of metal products. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
