Milliman’s Milwaukee Casualty practice is seeking a talented and experienced UI Engineer with server-side experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, and implementing professional, modern user interfaces for software solutions in a Microsoft tech stack, including ASP.NET Core MVC 6 / 7, Node.js, Visual Studio, SQL Server, and Azure DevOps. The successful candidate must possess expertise and experience in user interface design and development (experience working on the back end of web applications is a plus).
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement user-friendly and responsive web application user interfaces using ASP.NET Core MVC 6 / 7, HTML, Node.js, Knockout, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Create UI prototypes and otherwise assist in requirements analysis for new product features
- Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to define, design, and implement new features
- Participate in code reviews, accepting constructive feedback to ensure code quality and consistency
- Perform unit and integration testing to ensure high-quality software delivery
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software development and UI/UX design
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in UI Web Application Design & Development
- Extensive experience with front-end development technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Knockout, Node.js, and NPM
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities
- Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio and/or Visual Studio Code
- Experience with Azure DevOps, including Git, Build and Release Pipelines
- Experience with back-end development using C# and .NET Core, including RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of database design and development using SQL Server or other relational databases
- Experience with Power BI
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Salary: For this position, we are offering $80,000 to $125,000 annually, depending on a combination of factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
Location: This role is based out of the Milliman Milwaukee office, but candidates can work remotely anywhere in the US.
