Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a responsible individual for the operation of the Ultrasound diagnostics equipment and performance of all dynamic procedures in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology providing direct patient assessment primarily for adolescent and adult females. Occasionally may perform light routine office duties. Position may require working at alternate sites. Full access to contrast media is given to the incumbent of this position because they are required by their job responsibilities to transport, stock, prepare, or administer contrast media as dictated by scope of practice regulations.

Perform diagnostic procedures by producing, assessing and evaluating ultrasound images. Provide physicians with oral or written summaries of technical findings, while simultaneously providing patient care. Must be able to work varying hours, including occasional evening and weekend shifts.

You Will Be Responsible For :

  • Exceptional Patient Care : Must understand we exist for the patients and their care is the number one priority.
  • Excellent Communicator : Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients and family member.
  • Strong Educator: Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided.
  • Technical Familiarity: Understanding in computer-based applications, email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Active Teamwork : Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.

Requirements :

  • Education: Graduate of recognized training program of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent. (RDMS)
  • Experience: 1 year of Clinical Ultrasound experience. Registered or Registry Eligible. Registry Eligible must pass ARDMS exam within one year of hire.
  • Licensure: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. (RDMS)
  • Skills: Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas. Ability to maintain harmonious and effective relationship with patients and personnel. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system and its associated devices.
