Purpose:
The Universal Banker (UB) is responsible for conducting both teller and cash vault transactions in an accurate and timely manner. In addition they are also responsible for the sales and servicing of all Bank products and services. The UB must maintain current knowledge of products, services and current bank promotions. They are accountable for providing operational support and exceptional customer service while maintaining essential controls and safeguards.
Essential Job Functions:

• Accurately processes transactions and new account openings in a timely and professional manner.
• Communicates ideas on how to improve a customer’s experience to Branch Management.
• Maintains current knowledge of all Federal and State laws and regulations along with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
• Processes Teller transactions in an accurate and timely manner (e.g., deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, check cashing, negotiable purchasing, etc.)
• Processes and validates accuracy of coin and currency amounts related to incoming and outgoing cash shipments.
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining Branch cash supply.
• Process assigned reports and/or job duties in an accurate and timely manner.
• Responsible for maintaining current and accurate records of sales tracking results.
• Maintains a current understanding of the Bank’s new account opening procedures.
• Keeps current information of the Bank’s products and services

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Banking
• Knowledge of Banking procedures and regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced knowledge in computer skills
