Job description

Use technical drawings to fabricate and repair various trim items related to aircraft and facility operations.

Collaborate with engineering and other authorized personnel in the incorporation of design or modification changes and in the solution of trim problems.

Operate an industrial sewing machine; install thread, wind bobbin, clean and oil machine, and make adjustments to the machine for different types of fabric and thicknesses.

Fabricate and assemble samples for items that require a complete knowledge of fabrics, plastics, and other trim materials, and the full exercise of upholstering craft skills.

Fit and install hardware using common fabrication tooling including, but not limited to; punches, awls, grommet/snap, etc.

Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, and travel short distances to various work areas.
Basic Qualifications:
Industrial sewing experience

Must have experience operating various industrial sewing machines such as (straight stitch, zig-zag, bar-tack, Class 7, etc.)

Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of sewing machine repair and timing

Experience with aircraft operations

Secret Clearance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
The base range for this position in California is $26.89 - $46.14.
